David Yates, a teacher at Solon High School and an ALS activist, passed away on October 6, 2000 of Lou Gerhrig’s Disease. The Solon Community gathered for the 9th annual Yates 5K Run to celeberate his life and raise money to assist local individuals with ALS.

Bright Side of the Road was well represented with close to 50 friends and family showing support. Some chose to run the 3 miles while others, including Barry, walked the course. This was our second year participating in the walk and we plan to have growing support each year.

This was a great time despite the rain! It was great seeing Barry and all the kids walking and running. I love the Bright Side family!
